L’Wren Scott, girlfriend of Mick Jagger commits suicide, Rolling Stone’s tour cancelled

In what was even a surprise for Mick Jagger himself, his longtime girlfriend of over 12 years (left), ImageL’Wren Scott was found yesterday dead in her Manhattan apartment complex hanging from satin scarf tied to a balcony doorknob.

The late Scott, 47, unfortunately was found this morning with no suicide note, according to police, who do not suspect foul play was involved.

The fashion designer owned her own company, which allegedly was millions of dollars in debt, and could understandably be upset about certain things, however, Mick’s confused as to why she would do such a thing. Reports also state that Jagger and Scott ended their relationship prior to the suicide, however a rep from the singers says rumors are false.

Jagger released a statement on Facebook pertaining to the tragic event.

“I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.

We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves.

She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me.

I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received.

I will never forget her,” – Mick

The Rolling Stone’s artist seemed to be extremely frazzled an hour before the news was releasedImage about Scott’s death publicly while in Perth, Australia (right) for his tour. By the way Mick looks, it appears he has already heard the news as he quickly makes his way back to the states.

Today, the Rolling Stones announced on their website the following statement: “The Rolling Stones are deeply sorry and disappointed to announce the postponement of the rest of their 14 ON FIRE tour of Australia and New Zealand following the death of L’Wren Scott.”

The 7 remaining tour dates are postponed as of now, and ticket holders are encouraged to hold on to their tickets until further instruction.
