Aly Raisman and Simone Biles Featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

Being an olympian ain’t easy, but neither is keeping a olympic shaped body. Aly Raisman and Simone Biles managaed to do both, but they’re letting people know it always not that easy while covering the 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

The news surrounding the 53rd issue was announced Tuesday, accompanied by a preview of the photoshoot rumoured to be released either on Feb. 13 or Feb. 20, 2017.

It’s been five months since the two earned Gold Medals at Rio’s Summer Olympics, however there was a time the two were told they did not have the body to participate in the gymnastics.james-macari-sports-illusrated_swim160_tk2_00718-rawwc

“There was a time when both of us were told our body fat percentage was off. I was a lot more self conscious about it when I was younger. It’s something we’ve both worked hard on so it didn’t hold us back.”   -Aly Raisman to ‘For The Win’

“I am thrilled to include the gold medal-winning, U.S. women’s gymnasts ALy Raisman and Simone Biles in this year’s Swimsuit issue,” said MJ Day, editor of the SI Swimsuit issue. “Aly and Simone represent all that is beautiful and strong and inspiring in women today. Women that are not only elite athletes, that are captivating and impressive in their own professional accomplishments, but strikingly sexy and beautiful in front of photographer James Macari’s lens. I love seeing them shine in an entirely different way in the Swimsuit issue and being able to share these gorgeous and powerful images with the world. These women, thier beauty, and what thye can achieve know no limits.”
